the morning whispers

the morning whispers
"time"
and the world
takes a sort of shape

my little world
of burgundy robe
and carpeted stairs
strong organic fair trade coffee

and you

each
of you

i sit
in the middle of the house
windows
to the west and east

the eastern window
absorbs
the morning sun

today
the world
passes through
a smear
of misted glass

here comes the sun . . .

Seems it is always sunny when I wander your way steven. A lovely way to start a day.

I like to view the outside world from inside, Steven. It seems very cosy.

What a great sequence!

Beautiful images Steven! A lot like some of my watercolors... I always say I'm not as much of an abstractionist as people think - here's evidence!

What a beautiful series of pictures. I thought perhaps they were shot through textured glass but perhaps it was just dew.

What a wonderful way to begin a new day- all sleepy, misty with a good cup of coffee in a robe and slippers in excellent company of a gentle biking dude! ...le sigh....

elisabeth - inside on a foggy or rainy day is pure bliss for me. i wriggle and make little noises . . . strange for a fifty three year old man? oh well!! steven

thankyou golden west. it was all i could do to not shoot a little movie and finally figure out how to up to youtube and then to here. that's coming later this spring. steven

valerianna - i love the clear blurred images a lot. i can't figure out how to paint those. i've scoured the net and seen people who come close but nothing as clear as a photograph. steven

ellen there was fog that day and it filmed the outside of the windows and i shot right through that. i love looking through glass that has been in any way adjusted - through time, or chemical, or manipulation, or water. steven

linda sue - that's my bliss. simply contained, simply expressed! i have other bliss spaces but this one's pretty high up the bliss list. steven

hope i love good strong coffee. because i have an emerging conscience, i try to drink with consideration for the people involved in preparing the drinks. i make my own coffee up every morning - two mugs drunk in a beautiful mug - i have six mugs all made by a potter about two hundred miles from here who i have biked to twice to buy new mugs from. it all sounds so earthy and pure but really it's about the most wonderful lip on the mug, the most wonderful rush from the coffee - a gift to my fifty three year old body!!! steven
