the intricate
interweavings
of life
as i imagined it
are nothing compared
to those i experience
convolutions
distortions
fuzzy forms
that come into focus
and then just as suddenly
meld into
something
incomprehensible
at their centre
is some sort of purpose
for i believe
that each and everything
exists
or comes to exist
to allow for
understanding
the work
is to see beyond
the entanglement
of perception

Yes, Steven, and that is the trick of it! Seeing beyond the tangles- one must squint or go blind for a bit to actually see through...
hi linda sue - when i took these pictures i was thinking of those computer generated images that were so big a decade or so ago. you know the ones where you let the focus of your eyes go and the scattered image would resolve into something embedded inside the little bits. do you remember them? life's so like that sometimes. the good times. steven

And there are so may perceptions, Steven, it's hard sometimes to get a clear view if at all.
Ahhhhhh. Perfect. Just what I needed. Thank you!
Ah, yes, that's the trick. Easier said than done, sometimes. I like to think of life as a tapestry, full of knots.
beyond the tangles to the snow?
I like tangles, they are interesting things to unravel, or not. Perhaps the tangled web should not be created to deceive, perhaps it could just be a beautiful pattern, like the ones in your photos.
and then there's a quote I came across recently. "Getting discovered isn't the work. The work is the work."
Can't wait for the green green summer to arrive for you, Steven.
but, as you've shown us, even the entanglement can be beautiful
elisabeth - sometimes the pattern emerges from the fog and then drifts away just as quickly. steven
jenny glad to be there!! steven
willow - i see the tapestry when i think of history, things past. the present and the future becoming present - well an entanglement. steven
