- christmas day 2011
- i know this long open place
- all we want
- variations
- this unfurling
- enough of words, come to me without a sound
- we see the leaves beneath the ice
- come and go
- soft heated sky
- this day ends gently
- deep autumn
- the old coat
- out and across
- the small voice
- falling behind the horizon
- i watched the stars
- tightly
- there are small lines
- looking back, i saw my path
- three years
- unravelled
- the golden fire
- so like silence
- so like so many little wings, so like clouds
- in place

I'm struck this morning by how the lake shore in your photo looks like it could be the lake shore on the south side....with all our differences, with distances between, we are truly the same, aren't we?
The sea looks like a sculpture to me in the photo - frozen.
Contrast - the thrill of contrast - and your photograph is inspirational.

jinksy it washed up and over my boots and jeans and i didn't really care. it was super windy and almost cold but the elemental power of the wind and the water and then the rocks all around me pushed awesome energy through me!!!! steven
