i watched the stars

i watched this afternoon's snow
fall like so many little stars

the sun scattered
and all its light was hidden behind the hills

then there was nothing left
but the rich echoes of you
flowering across the emptiness
of your absence

Thinking ' little stars of now' I suppose makes it falling a little more bearable Steven. Good photo of it, too.

So delicate; soft beauty; perfect words.

This poem filled me with delight in the rise and fall of its cadence.

Thank you, as always!

I agree with Aguja, you fill us with delight Sir S.

Am in Asia, no snow ever touches these parts of Sing and Malaysia, but the way heat sparkles on palm trees delight me all the same :)
