homeward bound

they fly by each night. i wonder if they know each other.

i wonder what the sunset feels to them.
i wonder if they feel glad to be home.

nice post sir! sometimes we just don't care if we knew who is beside us on the bus, train or even on the road. just the feeling that we are all going home is the best feeling. seeing your love ones after a day at work...

I'm sure they do.

I wonder all that, too..... that last photo is calling up a deep need in me to get back to oil painting - and clouds and skies. Maybe soon.... maybe.

Probably Mum, Dad and the two kids! Your header is gorgeous - Monet-ish.

I envision these birds calling good night to each other, "Night Phil. See you tomorrow George. Later Max. Get some rest Edgar."

I know I'm silly. It's why I don't talk much at the end of the work day. ;)

There must be great joy in being a bird flying with its flock at the end of a beautiful day. I find great joy in merely being their witness.

butternut, i love to watch them fly over. at school today i was setting up my classroom and a double v of geese flew over - east to west. they're not ready to go yet but they were definitely training for the big fly! steven

Steven, I think they are winging their way to my part of the world.

I like your line "training for the big fly!".

I saw my first V of the season yesterday. After watching "Winged Migration" I'm amazed at their instinct.
