like the forgetful artist that she can be
winter left some paintings behind
some mottled and rainworn
some sun-creased and soft
some fractured and careworn
all looking to be hung on the wall of the gallery in the sky

every one is a masterpiece, yes? rainworn, sun-creased... lovely word choices
I've always loved paintings gone to crackle. The warm and cool in these dance together so well. And that last fellow looks to be dancing without a partner, poor chap. (he's tilted sideways to the left, arms circled and open)
best gallery ever!!!!
Mother Earth is such a prolific and talented artist. She makes masterpieces without even seeming to try. Thank you for showcasing some of her work.
Extraordinary!!
so beautiful (she says as she is on so glad not to have snow and ice).
"money ruins art" Mom Nature just gives it away for the taking- thank you for taking!! Lovely!
Your post is so moving. Brilliant, that you have brought together the end of winter with your precious words.
Mother Nature does fine work when she's not in a bad mood. :)

Looks like the paint will never dry.
A gallery in the sky, can I hang there, too?
meri - i figure it'll shift somewhere else and become another painting. steven
terresa - you surely do! steven
Amazing. Makes the snow and ice outside my house today seem a bit less ugly. Would be even less ugly if the snow and ice didn't keep finding their way into my socks...
hello brigid and welcome! i laughed when i read your comment - it's snowing here right now and i commute on a bicycle so i know that this morning, i'll have wet socks, a wet butt, and my poor face will become even more weatherworn! however, it's really pretty actually - the snow i mean! steven
Freezing seems much the best way to go. Beautiful art.
rachel - there's beauty in everything. it's entirely how you see. thankyou for your kind comment! steven
