voices

i love voices
that are filled with life

not the life
you might think of immediately
you know;
the joyous
cheery bouncy voice
that guides you on your way to and from work

no no
i love the voice that speaks to me
from
the kind of worldly wisdom
i know through my mother
the kind of insight
i know from my father's sister margaret

when they speak
i listen
no matter how they speak
or what they are speaking about

they have already been there
they have already done it
and if they didn't bother
then i know better for their choice

you know what i mean?

so, i love voices
and when voices sing
with knowing
and understanding
and insight

well i am compelled
to pay attention

terry callier
has such a voice

jinksy - i remember seeing ella fitzgerald and heard her scat singing and i didn't connect terry's singing to that experience until you brought it up here and there it is clear as day!! nice one. steven

I know what you mean. My grandmother spoke to me this morning, as I watered my garden plants.

Lovely steven and wise words too.

I feel like I've been lurking instead of participating... hopefully life will calm down a bit.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Science has even proven that while men are moved by what they see, women are moved by what they hear. Hearing is also the key to memory ...followed by the sense of smell.

And the voice doesn't have to sound like James Earl Jones to capture my attention. I love the stories as well. Thanks for my moment of peace for the week.

What a blessing that you have people you want to listen to like that, to really hear, not just listen with ears but to hear with your entire being.

hope that's a good point about the qaulity of the voice. it really isn't as valuable or important as what is being said!! have a peaceful day. steven

never heard that before! Wonderful.

It takes maturity to listen to voices, seven.
