soften

dry-leafed trees
sift
pale grey rays of light
pushing through
the envelope of a sky
not quite sealed shut

to
soften the day
soften the heart

Not quite sealed shut, eh? That's perfect.

Our sky is very neatly sealed up today. Rain later ... I'm really looking forward to it.

Photo is so ethereal- I want to jump right into those clouds, get snagged on a branch to keep from getting too carried away! LOVE this!
