mid autumn along the fenceline

early on a morning laced with fog
a day
in which the world
appears spread along the fenceline

the fog burns off under
a cloudless afternoon sky

which softens
into the edges of evening

Yummy colours! Delicious post! Along the fence line is a pretty place to hang out and I'll wager that the berries are not brighter on the other side.

So blue and red where you are.

We have lots of berries in DC this fall. The squirrels are getting fatter every day.

willow - the berries are part of a vine that my neighbour dan the man planted! it moved along our fence - neither of us like fences but it was there when we arrived - so he planted the vine which has hidden the fence. it is so beautiful. we talk over top of it through the summertime. steven

reya the squirrels are fat and slow here also and as i race down hills and see them i whistle or chuck to them so they know i'm coming - 'cause i have no motor and they can't hear me and i don't want to hurt them. steven
