the sweet and soft space

there's a sweet and soft space that calls to me
a whispered presence
a glance perhaps even a touch
a reassurance
that doesn't so much pull as it draws me closer
by default
by desire
a mouth that parts just so
eyes that crease
with the words . . .
'i've been here a while
waiting ...
waiting so long and then also so very much not so long
because i know nothing of time
and yet
i'm so glad to see you back
so very glad
so very ....."

Glad to be back, Steven, if only after a few weeks. I miss your posts.

The tension of separateness is delicious when just about to end. Wonderful what you evoke smoothly and subtly here, Steven.

yes, ruth points to something important, the longing which binds us so tenuously to the meeting that never quite happens. but we feel it!!! if you feel it and i feel it, does that mean we are not crazy? or does it mean we both are? and does it matter?

Wow, I traveled with this one - out to a meadow, there I saw you leaning low to the earth speaking with a meadow sprite... she was quite irresistible!
