the evening sun

the evening sun

the roof above the tops of the summer weeds becomes
entirely hidden.
though until just now children were sticking their faces
from the doorway
they have all become invisible.
at my back
the town gradually becomes smaller.
everything everywhere is no more than the play of lights
and shadows.

A gorgeous illustration here, Stephen. Wonderful play on light and shadow. I've been absent of late, out trying to walk again. Thanks.

all we see is an
interplay of light and dark
and shadows dancing

Shadow and wind- OCTOBER! The bridge, though the water looks somewhat tame, gives me the heebie jeebies...don't know why, perhaps because everything is effecting me that way...feeling very October in my being...
I assume your bike has been brought in by the fire...
