last night at a nearby beach (no one else around but us who went together) we paused to look at the wonder and order of each small vignette, or rather we took in a few. it would have taken a lifetime to truly appreciate all of the wonders that seem obvious or casual.
yeah erin . . . the details of a woodlot, a beach, a stream, a leaf: the stopping and then the melding with that space, that object, that moment, each opens into and illuminates so much beyond itself. . . . .steven
