worn away

by the morning light

life holds not an hour that is better to live in: the past is a tale that is told
the future a sun-flecked shadow, alive and asleep, with a blessing in store

our souls and the bodies they wield at their will are absorbed in the life they adore -
in the measureless music of things, in the fervour of forces that rest or that roam

by the evening light

Hi Steven, those pictures are fabulous...they look like the mighty fortresses in lord of the rings..such fancy notions I have!!!

Most interesting, Steven, to see that same picture with the two differing light intensities. Ir really brings it home.

Swinburne is not somebody one hears much about these days - slightly unfashionable (as if that matters).

Love the photos. I could spend the whole day just looking at the patterns in sand dunes.

A different kind of sand castles you've built here Steven - ones in the air, perhaps...

There is such magic in evening light - and in your selection of thoughts to accompany your images.

If we are going to think of the future, it is good to think of it 'with a blessing in store'. Sometimes the blessing is as simple and powerful as the inspiration found in a blog ... such as yours steven.

weaver - you know that's true about swinburne. you rarely see any in people's blogs. but as you say, fashion doesn't really matter. steven

bonnie - thankyou for your very kind comment. yes. evening light and early morning light have such amazing qualities about them that alter the way the world appears. sometimes just enough to really allow the innate magic of this world to glow. literally. steven

Love the castles in the sand worn by wind . Those are the sort of things that could set imagination off for hours. sometimes I find these sorts of castles in the woods on the way to the lake- always stopping and appreciating. Very cool.
