lisa o piu

the keen-eyed among you might have noticed a link to the music of lisa o piu on my sidebar.
the brave among you might have clicked on that link and gone to her myspace page.
the daring might even have clicked on the player on her myspace page when you landed there.

my mate sid (who you also likely know by face and perhaps by music as his mug also graces the sidebar with links to his outstanding series of podcasts) turned my ears towards lisa's work
with a glowing review of her new album which you can read right here.

but really, the music tells its own story and so here's the gift of a beautiful tale.

I'm not so much timid as I am impatient, and this vid is taking forever to buffer on my computer right now. So I will take the brave step of hearing her at her myspace page. Because what I can hear and what I do see of her here is marvelous. :)

Oh! It has suddenly finished buffering! Great artist!

I ended up here from (I think) a twitter friend of yours who told me to visit. I am going to delve deeper, but I had to stop here because I listened and then visited her myspace and listened some more and this music is just so very wonderful, that I had to thank you for directing me there. Really awesome stuff.

A beautiful voice, Steven. Lisa o Piu, I shall check her out further. There's nothing frightening here. She and her music are simply beautiful.

hi reya - music is like a way in to the worlds that are waiting beneath the surface of this one. there's some music that provides a richer and clearer picture of those worlds. i'm so glad for you that music exists. steven

Thanks for the introduction --and for sharing your trip-in-the-mind with me. And I'll accept lisa o piu's challenge to dance some more.
