asia grace

i'm really excited this morning because it's seven degrees outside - almost like living in vancouver - so i am going to get to ride my bike to and from work!

anyhow, i was at my son's hockey game the other day and one of the readers of this blog commented on how much they liked the photography. i was flattered of course but wanted to say, wait 'till you see the photography i'll be sharing with you in the next little while because it's truly stunning! oh, and it's not mine!

keen eyed readers will recall an earlier posting featuring one of kevin kelly’s “cool tools” a listing of the best documentaries out there. today i would like to share another of kevin’s incredible achievements - “asia grace”.

before you go there for a look, you really should read all about kevin kelly.

asia grace is an extraordinary gallery - or collection of galleries - of images collected through the seventies, eighties, and nineties as kevin's travels took him from east asia to iran. here are the production notes in which kevin describes the process of acquisition and assembly.

this is an incredible collection and should rightly be savoured as slowly as possible to allow the full value of each image to be appreciated. to navigate through this site, click anywhere on the main page. this will take you to a subset of images, each of which can then be clicked to bring it to the front. each image has notes that explain the contents.
asia grace.

here’s where you can go if you would like to purchase your own hardcopy.
