nice rick! flowers are so sensitive to the air, the sun, the water, the ground they grow from. left to their own, they appear where they are needed or where, in combination with other plants they can provide something to the immediate environment. there's a rightness about that that intrigues me. steven
weaver it certainly is. it stayed in our house for a couple of weeks in this form and then joined some rocks, dead moths, bits of driftwood, and other dried flowers in one of the many shrines around here! steven
hi jo! i take every photo that shows up here and that is one i took at sunset which is the source of the glow from inside this beautiful flower. steven
lizzy - i would wish that i could share my granddad's roses. especially their scent. he knew them so well and especially how to grow them. i miss him more than the roses. steven
hmmmmm don't know...thinking... I do love your GAWD ray going from cloud to cloud header. ( and, by the way, you will never be ready to see your kids go away all grown up and into their own experiences...your heart is sure to break over and over)

Nice! Perhaps each flower must, for their glory is so brief, and our attention so fleeting...
Rick
What a banner pic! Wow. It's like the clouds are talking to each other with light. Beautiful.
Flowers do have their role. I always think of them as energy filters, especially the flowers with lots of petals. Roses are so cleansing!
Have a good sunday, Steven.

hi reya - i thought that of those clouds as i watched the scene unfold. the skies have been nothing short of spectacular during the heat wave. steven
One perfect rose.
Holding everything in constant contemplation? I would be in awe of them.
But I am already.
Did you take that exquisite photo? It looks like a Georgia O'Keeffe painting. ♥

Like Jo, I would be in awe. Beautiful yellow rose... my favorite.

Actually I think your header is holding hands...
Yellow is my favorite rose.
are they timeless then or caught as we are in the ceaseless movement of time? for us for each moment contemplated we must birth a new life of thought.
