the bottom of the garden

winter at the bottom of the garden is a place of real fascination for me . . .

it's where the fairies hold their parties

when the bunnies coming running through
it's where they especially like to be
'cause there's always tasty veggies put out for them
and also 'cause it's a good place
and they know it

while you're down there
you can head out
and visit fuzzy friends

with funky homes
"hey, come onnnn in!"

and there are cozy places
to stop and paint or write or drink tea
or watch everything that happens
or just sleep and dream dreamy dreaming dreams

which is probably my most favourite thing of all

Yes, a delightful post! I'm all for dreamy dreams!

Some enterprising locals put together a "Kook" calendar this year and the first run sold out almost immediately! The shenanigans surrounding the sculpture have received coverage in the Wall Street Journal, but although the artist has garnered outsize exposure, he remains resentful of the pranks. Which is ironic, given that only through the pranks has the statue gained acceptance.

Wonderful post! I enjoy stopping by every day, even if I don't leave a comment. Sometimes you write like a Sufi, sometimes like a Buddhist, sometimes like a Druid, sometimes (as in this case) a Taoist, but always as a poet.

Dreamy dreams are wonderful!!

reya i really like finding tucked away spaces in gardens, in the woods, along shorelines, because i know that they are cozy inside for the little creatures and of course for the magic people! steven

steven said...

hello kay! it's a luxurious space afforded me by the simple ability (gifted through it being the holidays) to focus my thoughts on what is right here right now. steven
