The blues never looked so good. I love, especially, the first photo with the scattered white accents.

Like great chunks of sapphire, Steven.

These are really lovely. They put me in mind of fractals from turbulent liquids. Congratulations on them.

Great shot; the bugs encased; t'would be nice to think they came back to life after the melt.

Twice in as many days I've come across the word, 'Cerulean'; it describes your visions perfectly.

dan - blue and the blue greys are my fave colours. the ice is coloured by the pool liner but it's the striations and bubbles that really catch my eye. have a peaceful day. steven

dave - yes! i love high-speed photography of liquids and the closest i can get to to capturing that sort of detail is when the liquid is in its frozen state. steven

Ice blue! These are fantastic. When I was in my teens, my sister and I walked inside a glacier in Switzerland. I don't think that we were supposed to be in there but we followed the foot prints of others. Deep inside it was a lighter shade of your photos all around us. Thank you for sparking the memory.

You certainly know how to photograph the "blues", Steven. The colours are remarkable.

Those photos are so soothing somehow. Thanks for that.

And I loved the tree in the previous post! I just ran out of time before I ran out of compliments.

I love cerulean, but I guess that's obvious. The photos, however, have the feeling of color field paintings but with so much more energy. The bubbles formed and trapped between layers remind me of very old sheets of handblown glass. What a show Ma Nature puts on for us, season after season.

I like how you see.

Quite stunning. I took so many photos of the ice at Lough Graney. it made marvellous patterns and I found the captured leaves inside it fascinating.
