heart line

seen from a distance

you might not know
that this tree
looking out over the sea

holds
the sky
like a heart line
in the palm
of its hand

Trees: The more I get to know them, the more I realize how little I know of them.

I wish I knew something more of their language, their wisdom.

It looks very much like the camphor tree in my yard in Houston, like a hand.

Maybe in their silence we're supposed to accept their tenacity, resilience, beauty and adaptability.

Steven! This magnificent tree does look exactly like a hand! I love the bit of sky reflected in its palm. So lovely.

Exactly why i travel with a collapable straw in my pocket- There has to be some magical power in that little pond held so lovingly by such a magnificent tree. I would only sip a tiny amount- a tiny amount of magic usually holds me for years! Thanks for this...Beautiful colour!

Ah - even before I saw the heart line reflecting the sky, this tree looked like a hand reaching to the sky to bring it close to us.

That tree is a person in its own right I think Steven. I just love trees.

Marvellous, it's like the hand of a gentle giant. Well spotted!

I saw the hand immediately, fingers open, allowing the sky to pool in its "palm." It holds the sky so gently.

Beautiful!!

you know weaver i've been near trees that are people. a circle of trees once - i stood in the middle and thought if i could i would be married here. surrounded by these tree people. tolkien knew about this and so did the old people long ago. steven

steven said...

reya - you know trees do take care of so much and sometimes they hold the great spaces in tiny pools. just to show how it's done. care that is! steven

and trees teach us much.

clicked here from the link at The Alchemist's Pillow,
but now I see that I recognize you from elsewhere.
Nice to formally "meet" you and your space. Where I will no doubt return.
