wind fingers

silver-white fingers
of wind

stroke
entangled
bare
winter trees

cold caresses

the warmth
well-hidden

bitter winter wind --
blowing now
yet no leaves to drop

Do you think trees dream in their winter hibernation?

Cold Caresses is simply superb. I really can't express how highly I rate it. I have been drooling over it.

The leaves have all gone now replaced by snow drops. Your photography is magnificent, Steven. Like a Narnian world of ice and snow, a world I can only imagine.

Are those light colored trees birches? A stand of birches can be so compelling. It makes one want to just stand among them.

hello jennifer, those are birches - one of my favourite trees in any season but there's something so very beautiful about them in the wintertime. there's a softness about their bodies. have a peaceful evening. steven
