i liked its quiet innocence

in the sky above - clouds have filled the early-morning blue sky with their afternoon fluffiness - welcome back clouds, i wondered where you'd gone!
in the cool afternoon breezes, the clouds scatter and smear like oil on the water of the pool . . .
the wild grasses that live in the river pebble bed are happy to get sun and rain . . .
the very first lily appeared today . . . hello . . . you're beautiful . . . .
beauty always draws me closer . . .
but it was this soft little flower's presence that drew me away from the pool with its tall wild grasses, smeary clouds, and orange beauty into a little uncultivated area that i have saved for the fairies . . .
i liked its quiet innocence . . . .

hi sandra, thanks for coming in! it amazes me that in a little space there is so much beauty. think of a person - think of all that is in their life and then in them - the totality of all their life - the ugly and the lovely. it just amazes me. i take my model for that from nature. one little tiny corner of my garden and it is filled with an infinity of little moments and loveliness. if you can accept that synchronicity is another way of talking about luck then i agree with your last statement!!! peace! steven

I'm with Sandra. This post reminds me of Hazy Moon. Thank you for a moment of wonder and beauty.

Ah, yes, that's an N.C. Wyeth sky. ((sigh)) And that lily is just gorgeous. Orange has been so appealing to me lately.

Good morning Steven

Yes I too wondered when you began to talk to the clouds and the lily whether you had contracted a case of Delwynitis...

It is wonderful that we are suffering from this affliction of mindfulness...

Such a lovely post Steven, skies, clouds, grasses and lily, but the piece de resistance is the virgin dandelion...untouched...

Thank you

Happy days

hello delwyn, the sun has set and the horizon is a slamon pink up into violet then deep deep purply blue.
my kids and wife know that i talk to lots of things. people everywhere. i love to talk with strangers. but i talk to the animals, the birds, the flowers, trees, almost anything. but i do it with some discretion because i don't want to get put in the white van and sent away to get sorted out!!!!
i love dandelions - they are a much maligned species. have a lovely day ahead of you delwyn. by the way, i took the comparison with your wrok made by sandra and dan as high compliments indeed!!! steven

The child, or perhaps it's the mathematician, in me continues to adore dandelions, even though I no longer blow them to the wind in my own yard.

Im glad to read that you talk to strangers, clouds, birds, flowers, almost everything too, and if you are not afraid of a thunder why should you be scared of little white? :O) Im not!!!
