anne packard's soft horizons

anne packard paints the sea, the sand, and the sky but as you can see, there is something much more profound and essential in her work. something that compels you to consider what lies beyond those great empty spaces, the soft horizons, and the deliquescent skies.

in anne's own words; " my painting has nothing to do with nature. it's something to do with forever going...the space behind the sky.....the space behind the shadow. it's an inner world of emotion and yearning. i yearn to express solitude"
