the songs of mystic poets

the songs
of mystic poets in a purple world
ascend to me in music that is made
from unconceivèd perfumes and the pulse
of love ineffable;

Good morning, Steven. Glad you were able to get to the ball in spite of having two dates and one bicycle! You were smashing as always.

Seems you're in a more melancholy mood today. Thanks for the beautiful images and words.

Your photographs are lovely, Steven. The veining in the petals reminds me of a mighty river and its tributaries.

I look forward to wading my way through the full text.
I keep returning to see your posted words and photos...always inspiring...but I also return to take a daily glimpse of the autumn leaves you have on your blog.
Here is Southern California, if you blink you miss the few trees that change. More than ever, I need the settling in my soul that autumn brings. That small photo helps tremendously.
Thank you.

hi jenny - i'll be posting a heap of autumn pics in the next little while. i have been taking pics every day in the hope of seeing something lovely and i have scored a fair pile of beauty. i've often wondered what it would be like to live somewhere that doesn't have the features i've come to associate with autumn. the colours would be fairly high up there, followed by the temperature change - tomorrow the high is 4 celsius = 39 fahrenheit. Definitely time to bike with the gloves on!!! Steven
