keen followers of the golden fish will have noticed that for the first time in sixteen weeks, the late friday night eclectic buffet failed to appear! in the past few weeks, components of my trusty and overworked ibook g4 have started to wobble and yesterday the first element actually collapsed. my ac adaptor did not respond to a call-to-duty with the result being that i was unable to recharge the battery and so phhhhhhhhhtttt! out went the lights on the laptop.
apple in california are working on rectifying the situation by supplying both a new ac adaptor and a new battery but they cannot get the equipment to me for two to five days. oh pooey!
as a consequence. i am currently working on a very sticky keyboard (that i am guessing has experienced a diet coke bath recently at the hands of one of my children) that is connected to an emac. it is unlikely that i'll be able to do much on this machine as even the simplest commands draw ire from its overworked and limited memory.
