trees fall down . . .

a severe ice storm settled over my city on thursday evening with the result that there were several trees and branches and power lines and whatever else left making their way to the ground.

We were lucky here, Steven. I noticed what I thought were water droplets on all the trees, but upon closer inspection, it was ice. Fortunately, temps rebounded just above freezing. Otherwise we would have had one of those rare, but not unheard of, April ice storms...

the tree here is in my back yard and so i am waiting to get it reduced in size before they can restore my phone line. it's my first experience with all of this but not my first experience of ice storms and freezing rain of course!!!! steven
