this we have now
is not imagination.
   
this is not
grief or joy.

not a judging state,
  or an elation,
or sadness.

those come
and go.
   
this is the presence
that doesn’t.

    linda sue - yeah it's a little piece of ice . . .they were all over the beach but this one just glistened and shone so brightly i couldn't not take its picture . . . steven
