paintings

like the forgetful artist that she can be
winter left some paintings behind

some mottled and rainworn

some sun-creased and soft

some fractured and careworn

all looking to be hung on the wall of the gallery in the sky

  2. I've always loved paintings gone to crackle. The warm and cool in these dance together so well. And that last fellow looks to be dancing without a partner, poor chap. (he's tilted sideways to the left, arms circled and open)

  3. Mother Earth is such a prolific and talented artist. She makes masterpieces without even seeming to try. Thank you for showcasing some of her work.

  20. Amazing. Makes the snow and ice outside my house today seem a bit less ugly. Would be even less ugly if the snow and ice didn't keep finding their way into my socks...

  21. hello brigid and welcome! i laughed when i read your comment - it's snowing here right now and i commute on a bicycle so i know that this morning, i'll have wet socks, a wet butt, and my poor face will become even more weatherworn! however, it's really pretty actually - the snow i mean! steven
