I've always loved paintings gone to crackle. The warm and cool in these dance together so well. And that last fellow looks to be dancing without a partner, poor chap. (he's tilted sideways to the left, arms circled and open)
ruth - i took these on the schoolyard one morning recently. the sky was high and the earth was melting and so was my heart as i took these pictures of the timeworn remnants of big snowy events . . . . little paintings all. steven
Amazing. Makes the snow and ice outside my house today seem a bit less ugly. Would be even less ugly if the snow and ice didn't keep finding their way into my socks...
hello brigid and welcome! i laughed when i read your comment - it's snowing here right now and i commute on a bicycle so i know that this morning, i'll have wet socks, a wet butt, and my poor face will become even more weatherworn! however, it's really pretty actually - the snow i mean! steven
every one is a masterpiece, yes? rainworn, sun-creased... lovely word choices
