Very dark here today- VERY! Difficult to tell the dif between night and day. When the sun does come out I do really LOVE my tall shadow- I want to keep her- I am height challenged. LOVE the sun shining between the trees- they seem to be loving it as well.
linda sue the sun has been clear first thing int he morning and so there's sweet soft colours and mistiness. then as it rises higher the sky fills and the sun hides somehwere way up there. i like to play with shadows. see what they'll do. steven
jo i know that i cast shadows as far as i can cast light. being aware of that and sensitive to the effects of both is tied hand-in-hand with their creation. thanks for your kind comment. steven

I have never thought about that.. this clearly depicts the idea that all good things are balanced by some bad.. I guess it depends on what you think about your shadow. great read - Sy
sy - welcome! there's always a place of equilibrium but it's not always where the growth takes place. the dance backwards and forwards between light and dark, good and bad and all the other binary pieces is a starting place for figuring out so much. steven
reya - i've been reading (for the umpteenth time) robert bly;'s book " a little book on the human shadow". it'll have crossed your path somewhere sometime. it showed up here in this little post. in addition to all the light of the world there are some long shadows. i own a few. steven
