i walked
to the lighthouse
as i anticipated
it was isolated
and now
a silent beacon
time was
these buildings had someone
living in them
tending to their needs
and then also
indirectly
tending to the needs
of those at sea
and wishing to come home
a quiet
kind of care
there are people
like this
lighthouse
there are indeed....beautiful image...to my eye and soul..xx

ReplyDeleteOh, how I love this! I've always wanted to live in a lighthouse! Several years ago, on NPR, the U.S. government was relinquishing lighthouses to the public and selling them for $1. Oh how I wanted one! (My bubble burst when they mentioned the cost of yearly up keep which was under contract.)
