a beautiful day

a beautiful day with lots of little fellow creatures to see and chat with.

this fuzzy little fella was crossing a nice warm granite boulder out back.

his distant relative the dragonfly wouldn't stay still.

something distracted it from the purpose at hand -

untul finally it settled with a dainty pose for the backyard paparazzi!

the ladybirds don't seem to mind if they rest on old, dry leaves . . .

or in a verdant, lush green leafy world.

closer to the ground, froggie . . .

and my litle peanut-eating buddy "chippy"

are making the most of a peaceful afternoon . . .

the way-up-there club generously provided late afternoon displays

that left the gathered bugs, amphibians, mammals

and especially this human being

full of gratitude and awe!!

for the baby elephant on the right-hand side

and my daughter lexie loved the teddy bear on the left.
