It's a very good image/feeling. And I feel the softness in your header photo too, the beautiful goldenrod in November, with the stand of trees, and the rising (or setting?) sun. Really resplendent!
ruth - the faded goldenrod is one of the most beautiful features of the late autumn for me. the header scene tells so much of the time for me. it's about ten minutes bike ride from here and i pass it every day on my way home. resplendent. that's one of my favourite words. steven

I think you achieved that remarkably in the second photo. The first still has a sense of delicacy, which I also like, but the second seems like solid shape/form.
Oh, and I like the sound of my word ver. tonight... "thunc".
