abundance pours down like rain
light and heavenly fire
in signs that are swift and sure
give way give way
to the pure
of presence
open your eyes
to the fullness
of the earth's heart
and
clear space
for the seeds
the sacred vessels
through which all life must pass
and become
and behold
their precision
and the careful delineation
of the one note they hold -
the song of the love
that binds all things
Your words fill my heart with gladness today...
ReplyDeleteabundant gladness.
Thank you.
steven, in this range of senses, remain free spaces for sowing words of love that must be present in our lives.
ReplyDeleteYour poetry lights the senses.

Beautiful steven - there is abundance in your blossoms on your header.
ReplyDeleteand jo i feel certain that you can put that gladness to good use today! steven
ReplyDeleteoa.s, each seed a word of love. hmmmm. i like that! steven
ReplyDeleteweaver it's that time of year when some of the tree and bush plants transition from blossom to fruit or from flower to green. i love it! forsythia and magnolia petals everywhere. steven
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! This is the first season I've sat on my back patio, enjoyed the trees, watched the cardinals in my new feeders, felt the sun on my back, and yes, even listened to the surrounding sounds of suburbia. In watching it all, my thoughts have been those of wonder and perplexity, not knowing where it all comes from, and the purpose.
ReplyDeleteThe significance of abundance and singularity must be one and the same: How else can we define purpose?
Rick
Give way, give way . . . a chorus, a chant, bringing it all close!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful poem - precious - and I love the pictures you have chosen, which shine out abundantly.
ReplyDeleterick! the sudden sensitizing and awareness go hand-in-hand with a letting go of the peripherals that used to occupy the centre of your existence. it's so cool to let things fall into place. steven
ReplyDeleteruth - these words came out through my head and the chant was fuller, richer but i got self-conscious. steven
ReplyDeleteaguja - thankyou very much. i took the pictures on ym ride home one evening as i went through a neighbourhood of older homes. the trees are fuller and riper than those in my own neighbourhood and it's a pleasure - a thrill - to sit near them or even to pass quickly underneath. steven
ReplyDeletethis is such a love song to the universe!
ReplyDeletepauline - the universe sings us love songs all through our time here and each of us is one of those songs!! steven
