on a thin
cold
winter's morning
lying
ever so briefly
in bed
i'm wondering a "wish i may wish i might"
and there are no stars in the sky
that i can see
(not even the local one)
but my wish?
to have these three boys
magically appear
and warm up my heart
by playing
"hey da ba boom"

Hey Da Ba Boom! Three guys, Don Cherry, Collin Walcott, and Nana Vasconcelos magically appeared in my star-starved morning and warmed my heart this morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you, steven.
dan thanks for adding another smile to the necklace of smiles i've strung together since waking up this morning!!!! steven
ReplyDeleteSo cool!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWill a big grin do?
ReplyDeleteahhh boomer - it's just one way to warm up on a cold morning but if ya can shake around a bit then it's one of the better ways. steven
ReplyDeletefriko - always!!! steven
ReplyDeleteSo they didn't exactly show up in the flesh - but - here they are!
ReplyDeleteStay warm, steven. Winter will pass. Blink your eyes and spring will be here.
xx
hey thanks reya - i always find goodness in winter but i lose things i value and perhaps because i hold onto them so tightly i suffer more than i need to! steven
ReplyDeleteI love the video and the music, Steven. The firt few times I listened only to the chanting...beautiful. Only this morning did I actually watch the images of the devout ones from around the world. It filled me with hope. Thank you.
ReplyDeletehey jo! i had the same experience - backwards. i knew the music so i watched the images and you know what? i felt a sense of awe at the many many people and perspectives devoted to helping the people of this world bring some form of perspective and goodness into their lives. am i naive enough to think that it's always a good thing they do. nope! but work begins somewhere. steven
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so much better! Thanks!
