during the day
the sidewalks
become home to
puddles
and i find my
imagination
drifting
into the scenes
stored inside
their muddy brown bodies
and so
imagine
my boyish joy
when
one evening
i found myself
walking alongside
a man o' war
its masts
and rigging
grazing the
march sky
May that child-like imagination never flee!
