As soon as it warms up, it instantly becomes almost impossible for me to remember the cold. And vice versa in the fall. Why is my sensory memory of the seasons so short lived?
I love that ice, whilst solid gives the appearance of being alive and breathing... as a child in cold Christchurch I would leave bowls of water outside with flowers floating on the surface. It was always magical to invert the lumps of ice the next morning to see the ice imagery.
Wow! That first one looks a bit like a crystal sowbug. The second one like a proud mother spider sitting atop her clutch of eggs. Amazing.
