heart line

seen from a distance

you might not know
that this tree
looking out over the sea

holds
the sky
like a heart line
in the palm
of its hand

  1. Trees: The more I get to know them, the more I realize how little I know of them.

I wish I knew something more of their language, their wisdom.

  12. Exactly why i travel with a collapable straw in my pocket- There has to be some magical power in that little pond held so lovingly by such a magnificent tree. I would only sip a tiny amount- a tiny amount of magic usually holds me for years! Thanks for this...Beautiful colour!

  14. Ah - even before I saw the heart line reflecting the sky, this tree looked like a hand reaching to the sky to bring it close to us.

  17. I saw the hand immediately, fingers open, allowing the sky to pool in its "palm." It holds the sky so gently.
