Brilliant. For me one of the upsides of the recent cold spell was just exactly the sort of wonder you depict here. I had almost forgotten the spell they used to weave in my childhood. This year even double-glazing an d central heating couldn't keep them at bay.
There is nothing more beautiful than Jack Frost at his work Stevn - we should make the most of the next few weeks because soon he will be gone for another year.
hey thanks everyone - jack's work is fascinating to me - first because it appears so unecpectedly and randomly on the windows and secondly because it really is so beautiful!!! i'm sorry i can't respond to each comment today but i'm overloaded with a number of personal and professional tasks and so i'll clear them away tonight and be back at this the way i like to be tomorrow!!! thanks very much for visiting and leaving such thoughtful and generous comments my friends!!! steven
Stephen, I enjoyed your photos so much. This kind of frost is something I've rarely seen as it's just not quite cold enough in Victoria (or of course in Mazatlan!)
Indeed!
ReplyDeleteA true artist is Mr. Frost.
ReplyDeleteJack's brother, Robert, is one of my favorite poets!
ReplyDeleteJack is quite the ice sculptor!
Perfect - and so well observed, Steven.

ReplyDeleteNice work, Jack indeed. These etchings are amazing. A blade on the glass, crystal cut. Forests in the ice.
