Things do have a way of escaping us without our knowing. My fear is seeing more than I want to see when I stop to look. I want wings to fly above the storms...
hello sixpence - as i move through the world i see so much. what i hope is to share something of the very small that gets overlooked, a beauty missed, or dismissed. the things that trouble us carry their own goodness and i'll acknowledge here that it's almost impossible to see at the time. with time we learn to accept the value of hardship. but wings to fly over it - well, there are circumstances where i'd have put them on in a heartbeat if they were offered!! have a peaceful day. steven
elisabeth - they were just slightly larger than your hand. i don't know how they were created. perhaps a bloggy chum will offer a suggestion?! have a peaceful day. steven
Sweet, sweet poem! The photo makes me think if a vertebrae. I have a small collection of bones. If you turned a vertebrae just so, to me it looks like an angel with wings.
i LOVE how you see- I looked at the photo and thought"Dang, somebody dropped their pliers, now how are they going to deal with nuts." You see wings and etherial beauty. I LOVE your brain, Steven. You are fresh air for realists and doldrum people like me. I stretch in your vision and am so comfortable there.
I would guess a bird landed and then took off steven. Sadly we get prints like that on our windows sometimes, and then the bird is not so lucky. Keep warm.
hello jenny stevning! it has something of a structure to it and so i see the connection to vertebrate. it has something of wings about it also. i wonder . . . steven
barry the edge of this poem - well so cool you saw it. i am so fortunate to have you visit this place!!!! i am far from perfect, far from virtuous! i'm just me. steven
willow thankyou so much!! i love sharing the goodness i find with the goodness of the work of others alongside. have a lovely evening at the manor. steven
ellen - i wish i could spend time on an ocean beach - the west coast would be my choice especially up towards oregon and washington state. i've never been there. wish i could wish i might!!! steven
stacey j. thankyou. i haven't got an image of my spirit. i sense the possibility of goodness working through steven and his needs and issues!! i do see that possibility moving through to likelihood as time passes by. have a peaceful evening. steven
linda sue - i love that you see pliers because realistically that is what they would look like if the snow drifted over them. i think that there are worlds within worlds and that there are clouds of "real" passing through each, describing each other and then also describing deeper mappings of the surface layer. cerebral - sure. fun - well yeah! steven
hello weaver - ahhh you might be right - wings brushing suddenly against a hardened snow surface and making a little form. i'm warm almost all the time. even when it's bitterly cold. i'm fortunate. thin. english. but almost entirely unaffected by the weather. it's a real blessing. have a lovely evening in the dale. steven
joanna thankyou so much! the christmas holidays were really good and restored a lot of my energy internally and externally!!!! have a lovely mexican evening. steven

ReplyDeleteI would have guessed rabbit tracks. But you were there and if there were no tracks before this set or after it then it is wings. A mystery.
ReplyDeleteSweet, sweet poem!

ReplyDeleteMade me smile.
You do find the lovliest words to pair with your photos, Steven. Beautiful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of shells we used to find on the beach called 'angel wings'.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and delicate. I also see a huge land formation, viewed from outer space.
ReplyDeleteX marks the spot?
It could be a sign...
ReplyDeleteSteven,
ReplyDeleteYour spirit is so kind and gentle. Whenever I read your words, I think of a little sparrow.
