what will it look like?

i ride by this tree lined hill each morning.

it faces east.

for months i've wondered:

"what will it look like
in early autumn?"

i'll keep you posted if there are any changes!

  1. The other side faces West; is there more colour on the other side? You'll have to get off your bike and walk up that hill now!!

  2. hello alaine - the other side faces into a woodlot so it's hard to get a clear look or even a picture. however, the other side of the woodlot (which spreads over a few acres) looked pretty lovely yesterday so i'll nip over when the sun comes up and have a look see. have a lovely spring day. steven

  4. I love watching one group of trees, like that, and seeing the progression of colours. I've been taking photos of one group to document the changes. Sometimes the changes overnight are dramatic!

It must be getting quite 'fresh' on your bike rides. These days you must arrive at your destination with a nice, red nose!

  7. I'm sure the color will evolve as the season passes. Then the leaves will drop, do you think?

So looking forward to updates! Have a wonderful day, Steven.

It is so good to meet other people with eyes to see; perhaps only bloggers do much of that, we are always keen to share and bring joy to others. I love blogging!

  12. hi bonnie - yes the morning ride in is cool - usually a standing air temp of two to five below. when you add in the wind chill of the ride -well it gets a little nippy. however. i'm dressed for it and i really love the morning air so it's worth it. the evening ride is usually warmer - not much but a little - and a lot windier - and uphill!!! it's all character building. steven

  18. The leaves are taking a long time to fall this year. They were more progressed than that in Algonguin Park at the end of September. They have hardly started here in Toronto as yet. I guess there is not enough frost so far. Beneath that blue sky in Peterborough, your leaves are beginning to look just stunning, Steven.
