i came across the work of illustrator and artist nick lu recently and i love the way he thinks.
using a simple colour palette and an insightful way of seeing and then representing the world,
lu compels the viewer to see a multilayered visual message
which in turn opens up a whole layer of discourse at a deeper level.
here are a few of my favourite things!
keep an open mind.
a challenge at the best of times.
but worthy, and certainly something to remind the rest of the world about!
this untitled piece makes me flip from picasso all the way to thinking about the world inside. i love this one.

ReplyDeleteHi Steven~ I took a gander at his blog, and he's being published everywhere! Very original work, and always tongue in cheek. I love how his arm completes his face in the first one here--what do you thnk the blue ink spot is on the back of his head? A feather? A pony tail? Good stuff!
